When my newborn son was born, his Nana gave him the cutest nickname that I had ever heard: “Little Lightning Bug”. Without a doubt, that name inspired this photograph.

This surreal photograph depicts a newborn baby sound asleep in a magical world. Watching over the young newborn is a faithful servant from the forest. With sharp eyes and servant’s heart, the black lab dog stands guard in protection of the child as lightning bugs light the scene with serene peace and beauty.
